How do I get started?

Contact us! We offer free phone consultations to discuss your concerns and answer any of your questions. During the consultation, we will discuss any recommended next steps to address your child’s needs. After the phone consultation, we will send you intake paperwork to complete prior to scheduling an evaluation. Once the evaluation process is complete, we will provide you with a written summary of the findings and a recommended therapy plan.

Speech and language evaluation – what can I expect?

A comprehensive evaluation plan will be developed which may include interviews, review of medical history, standardized tests, speech/language samples, observation, informal assessments, and/or rating scales and checklists. Evaluation appointments range in length depending on the needs of your child and the extent of the testing. The information gathered from the evaluation will help determine the presence and nature of a speech and/or language disorder, identify your child's communication strengths and needs, and develop an individualized treatment plan.

Speech and language therapy – what can I expect?

Speech and language therapy sessions vary based on many things, such as your child’s age and the goals of treatment. For young children, treatment is provided in your home to allow the child to feel comfortable and participate in therapy in their natural environment where they feel the most comfortable. Therapy for young children should occur in everyday routines and activities that are meaningful to them and their families. Therapy sessions are fun and often look like play! We believe that parents and caregivers play an important role in their child’s success and actively invite them to participate through education and parent coaching.

Does PNW Pediatric Therapy accept my insurance?

Currently, PNW Pediatric Therapy is not in-network with any insurance companies and is private pay only (debit card, credit card, HSA card, FSA card). We can provide a superbill to submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network benefit reimbursement. We recommend contacting your insurance company to determine your out-of-network benefits as we cannot guarantee reimbursement for services. Here is a guide to help you determine what your out-of-network reimbursement options are.
